I am a fifth-generation Floridian who grew up on Amelia Island. I've been writing poetry and prose since middle school. My young adult debut novel, "Picketing the President" is based on the experiences of my suffragist great-grandmother, Mary Nolan. It received the young adult 2022 Colorado Independent Publishers Association EVVY Second Place Award. Currently, my husband and I live on a barrier island near Savannah, Georgia, along with our rescue cats George and Gracie.

"Come, my friend, and have a seat,

We’ll chat and share a pot of tea.

There’s coffee, if you prefer,

Either one is fine with me."
