Me an' Annie sittin' on the creek bank,
feet in the water,
minnows nibblin' at our toes.
Slick green slider sunnin' on a log
all peaceful like.
Jay bird in the tree makin' a fuss!
Swimmin' 'cross the creek
there's a snake!
Annie screams like the jay.
We run!
SUPPER TIME
Me an' Annie sittin' on the back porch
shellin' butter beans.
Shells in a bucket.
Beans in a bowl.
Chickens scratching in the sandy backyard
looking for bugs.
Beans and crispy fried chicken for supper.
